Shannon Patterson will be presenting Are Changing Demographics and Economics Creating a Seismic Shift in Practice Modalities? On Friday, November 4 at 1:00pm. In the last two years, our industry has experienced dramatic change. The pandemic, recession, and world crises are accelerating changes in economic trends that will impact orthodontic practices, as well as the decisions of our future providers. Orthodontic residents who started their journey in dental school six years ago saw a very different view of orthodontics than today. Will their career decisions impact our industry even more in the future? The data shows us: young orthodontists are graduating with epic levels of debt, many averaging half a million in student loans before they even start working; we are graduating more female providers than ever before who might desire more flexibility in their work schedules; and we are seeing large group practices expand with the backing of private equity money. These factors have made it more challenging to find associates, partners and buyers willing to take over established practices. This lecture will provide tangible data for doctor owners to make strategic decisions for the future of their practices whether they plan to hire an associate, create a partnership pathway, or transition ownership.
On Saturday, November 5 at 11:00am, join Chris Bentson, along with Dr. Alyssa Carter and Dr. Mark McInnis as they discuss their journeys with DentalMonitoring, and how their practices have flourished since implementing a best-in-class remote monitoring solution.
Be sure to visit our booth (#202) in the exhibit hall.
